PEEK OUTDOORS is an immersive outdoor adventure and educational program designed to serve at-risk youth and their families. Our mission is to create life-changing experiences by offering hands-on learning in the great outdoors, fostering growth, self-discovery, and teamwork.
We recognize the immense value in taking young people outside of their usual environments to engage in fresh, challenging activities that integrate educational lessons. By utilizing experiential learning methods, PEEK OUTDOORS enables youth to develop critical outdoor skills, connect with nature, and grow as individuals. These outdoor experiences leave lasting impressions, teaching valuable lessons in perseverance, responsibility, and cooperation.
A Shift Toward the Outdoors
In today's world, many young people, especially those living in urban environments, are spending less time outdoors. The lure of video games, TV, safety concerns, and limited access to parks have all contributed to this trend. Unfortunately, this lack of outdoor activity limits their exposure to the physical, emotional, and mental benefits that nature provides.
At PEEK OUTDOORS, we are dedicated to reversing this trend. We offer urban, at-risk youth, aged 6 through young adults, and their families, the opportunity to explore nature and enjoy adventure in a safe, supportive setting. Our trips, offered at affordable rates, take participants to the picturesque regions of Western Massachusetts and New England, where natural beauty abounds.
